In case you were wondering however did I manage to find a LP560-4 model that has an engine cover that's able to stand by itself, I didn't.

To make it stand, I used a little bit of black nailpolish on the gas strut.

1) Open the engine cover.
2) Apply a little black nailpolish (since the strut is blackish) on the thinner portion of the gas strut just below the fatter part.


3) If it applies on too blob-ish, smear it with your fingertip.
4) Leave the engine cover open and let it dry.
5) Don't worry about the nailpolish drying glossy, the strut will "sand" away the glossiness when you open and close the engine cover.

Here's to engine covers that stay up by themselves! It also worked on my Koenigsegg's much heavier engine cover. :D
